I attempted to re-seed the grass at the back of the house, the kids made a scarecrow, which consisted of some bamboo lashed together with some gaffer tape with one of my daughters dresses on it. The canny birds weren't fooled however and proceeded to eat all the seed leaving us with a mud/grass bog . This wasn't helped by the bag of grass seed saying it would be ready to mow after 2 weeks....We didn't even have any shoots until after 2 weeks so this was blatant overselling.
Need to put a bit more work into this to make it somehow grow otherwise its going to be laying down some turf and starting over.
